Another month where records were shattered was observed in the Brazos Valley during June. This month was the driest June ever recorded in the Bryan/College Station area, with only a trace of precipitation falling at Easterwood Field. Other locations in the area did receive measurable precipitation amounts on the 28th and 29th. With the trace of rainfall at Easterwood Field however, this marks the second month in a row in which the lowest monthly precipitation record was broken, based on records dating back to 1911. College Station has received only 0.12" of rainfall since April 28th. This month was the warmest June ever recorded in the area. The monthly mean temperature of 86.7°F broke the previous record by 0.5°F. There were also 11 days in which the maximum temperature was greater than or equal to 100°F, a total for June which is second only to the total of 13 days observed in 1925.
