The Brazos Valley experienced a roller coaster of temperatures in the month of November. The average temperature at the beginning of the month ranged from 9°F-12°F degrees above normal. A major cold front passed through the area on the night of the 6th, dropping highs on the 7th by 30°F compared to the 5th. This system brought light showers to the Bryan/College Station area. By the 10th, temperatures moderated to the upper 70s, and the flow of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico returned. The next cold front approached the Brazos Valley on the 16th, which acted as an instability factor for the production of showers and thunderstorms. College Station received over half of its total precipitation for the month on the 16th, with 2.09". This system lingered on top of Texas for a few days, producing showers and thunderstorms in the central portion of the state. The skies cleared on the 17th, leaving 70°F temperatures in its wake. The 23rd of November brought another cold front to the Brazos Valley, with drier and cooler conditions behind it. A near record low temperature of 33°F was reported on the 24th. Records reported this month included the 7th with the lowest maximum temperature at 54°F and highest minimum temperatures of 69°F reported on both the 11th and the 12th. The month of November ended on a slightly warmer than normal note, and the year-to-date rainfall is 42.82", over 6 inches" above normal.
