College Station Monthly Summary: June 2012

College Station stayed in the heat and under clear skies for the majority of the month. High pressure remained in control of the region; most of the rain the city received was due to pop-up thunderstorms. Unfortunately, rainfall accumulations were minimal—the city recorded approximately 50% of the normal monthly precipitation. College Station, and all of Brazos County, re-entered official drought according to the U.S. Drought Monitor, with the county currently listed under Moderate Drought (D2).
