College Station Monthly Summary: November 2011

The month of November was once again characterized by the ups and downs associated with powerful cold fronts. Many days this month recorded record highs, such as 86 degrees on November 20th, 22 degrees above average. However, soon after these abnormally high temperatures, a strong cold front blew through and dropped temperatures down to normal or below normal levels. Luckily for us, each successive cold front brought the chance for rain and although still below normal for the month the city did receive some well needed rainfall totaling 2.41 inches. Wintry weather made its arrival to College Station on the 11th as the mercury dipped down to the freezing level of 32 degrees.
