Drought conditions have been steadily improving overall across the state. As of last Thursday, 65% of the state is in some state of drought. Although this is still a majority of the state, this is a large improvement from just a month ago when that percentage was 80%. More rain is in store for Texas in the upcoming week as depicted in the 7-Day quantitative precipitation forecast below. Drought improvements are expected to result from these rainfall chances.
