College Station Monthly Summary: February 2013

Pleasant weather reigned supreme this February with temperature ranging from the low 60's to the mid 70's all month. Cold fronts were the dominant weather feature keeping temperatures from climbing too high a bringing short lived rain showers often upon their passage. The rain from frontal passages was not enough to attain normal status, for a 1.75 inch deficit was recorded for the month. Though January was abnormally wet, the drop in precipitation prompted the U.S. Drought monitor to move Brazos County back into drought conditions by placing the area under Moderate drought conditions once again.
