College Station Monthly Summary: March 2008

March 2008 was near normal temperature wise in Bryan/College Station. The month started out on the mild side with average temperatures well above normal the first two days of the month. A cold front swept through the region on the 6th, dropping high temperatures into the 50s and low temperatures into the 30s, though temperatures moderated through the middle of the month and the last week of the month saw temperatures well above normal. For the month, precipitation totaled 3.81" which is nearly an inch above normal. A more active jet stream brought a series of upper level disturbances across Texas, producing several bouts of moderate to heavy rain in the Brazos Valley. The average monthly temperature of 62.2°F was slightly above normal.
