College Station Monthly Summary: October 2012

College Station experienced a roller coaster ride of a month in October. Temperatures were up and down as cold fronts as well as unseasonable heat confused residents on what season was actually in store for the day. The city was very often in the upper 80s for highs with lows in the lower 60s and cloudless, keeping the city warm and dry for the majority of the month; these conditions resulted in a 2.74 inch rainfall deficit. The majority of the rain that fell during the month was due to very summer-like pop-up storms that brought quick downpours. Overall the month was cooler than normal, with cold fronts powerful enough to balance out the heat and give people the chance to shake the dust out of their winter clothing.
